US President Donald Trump has announced that he will speak by telephone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday at 10 a.m. (4 p.m. GMT).
Later, the US president added in a post on Truth, he will also speak with Ukrainian President Zelensky and the leaders of several NATO member countries.
The topic of the meeting with Putin, Trump writes, will be " stopping the 'bloodbath' that is killing, on average, more than 5,000 Russian and Ukrainian soldiers every week, and trade."
"Let's hope it's a productive day, that there's a ceasefire, and that this very violent war, a war that should never have happened, ends," added the US president before closing with "God bless us all!!!"
