Donald Trump attacks Zelensky again, claiming that the Ukrainian president and Biden are the two responsible for the war in Ukraine that he wants to end.
“This is Biden’s war, not mine,” the US president wrote on Truth. “I just got here and, for four years of my term, I had no problem stopping it. President Putin and everyone else respected your President! I had nothing to do with this war, but I am working diligently to stop the death and destruction .”
Again: “If the 2020 presidential election had not been rigged, and it was in many ways, that horrible war would never have happened. President Zelensky and corrupt Joe Biden have done an absolutely horrible job of allowing this farce to begin. There were so many ways to prevent it from starting. But that is in the past. Now we have to stop it, and fast,” he added, commenting “how sad.”
The post comes in the aftermath of the Sumy massacre , in which dozens of people were killed and more than 80 injured in a missile attack launched by Moscow on Sunday on Sumy, in northeastern Ukraine.
Trump later corrected his aim by blaming everyone, including Putin: "This is a war that should never have started. Biden - he said - failed to stop it and Zelensky could have done it. And Putin should never have started it. Everyone is to blame ."
Just today, Zelensky said in an interview with CBS that the US administration is a victim of Russian propaganda and, returning to the clash in the Oval Office, that Vice President Vance "is somehow justifying Putin's actions. I tried to explain to him that there is no middle ground here, there is an aggressor and there is a victim. The Russians are the aggressor, we are the victim. Everyone understands that."
