The confirmation came in these hours, after the autopsy on the remains found Sunday in the Bridger-Teton National Forest, in Wyoming: they belong to Gabby Petito, the 22-year-old who disappeared while traveling with her boyfriend.

The FBI explained that according to medical examiners the most likely hypothesis on the cause of death is that of murder.

Meanwhile, the blogger's boyfriend has also disappeared. Brian Laundrie lost track of him a few days ago. His home was searched but no useful items were found. The young man refused to speak to the investigators.
