The Council of Ministers has given the green light to the decree-law which extends the transfers of weapons, vehicles and supplies to Ukraine by one year.

«Once again Italy chooses to be on the side of the freedom of nations and respect for international law, with the aim of arriving, in line with the position taken by its NATO and EU allies, at a just and lasting peace», commented the Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto .

Crosetto also reported the new aid before Copasir, illustrating to parliamentarians the contents of the decree - the eighth - for sending weapons to Kiev.

The list of materials, as on other occasions, was classified.

In these hours , France and Great Britain have also announced the renewal of their support for the Kiev government, which has been engaged in the conflict against Russia for almost 700 days.

“The United Kingdom and France will support Ukraine for as long as it takes,” British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said at a news conference in Paris with his French counterpart, Catherine Colonna.

“It is in fact essential – added Cameron – that Putin loses the war”.
