According to the South Korean military, Pyongyang carried out a test by throwing an "unidentified bullet" into the sea, fired east of the peninsula.

Last year, North Korea claimed it successfully tested a new type of submarine-launched ballistic missile, long-range cruise missile, launched weapon, and hypersonic warhead. And this new test comes after Pyongyang did not respond to Washington's offer to meet with US officials for negotiations.

Last week, in the counter of a meeting of the ruling party, leader Kim Jong-un reiterated his intention to "strengthen" the military capabilities of North Korea, still under international sanctions. As for the negotiations with the US, however, everything is at a standstill and since Joe Biden is the new president, every proposal to meet with North Korean officials has been sent back to the sender.
