Two prison guards were taken hostage this morning by ISIS members in a prison in the Rostov region of southern Russia.

“Detainees in one of the cells of center number 1 (...) in the Rostov region took two prison police officers hostage,” we read in a statement. The prisoners, as the Interfax agency specifies, were armed with knives and asked to have a car to be able to leave the prison freely.

«A group of six prisoners who took two employees hostage asked to provide them with a car and to be allowed to leave the pre-trial detention center freely . In response, they promised to release the hostages,” emergency services said.

Then the intervention of the penitentiary services, with the hostages being freed and the kidnappers killed.

«During a special operation (...) – write Interfax and Tass – the criminals were eliminated and the employees taken hostage were released and were not injured».
