The Vice-President of the General Court of the European Union rejected the new request to suspend the waiver of the parliamentary immunity of Carles Puigdemont , Antoni Comín and Clara Ponsatí.

This was announced today by the same Court which maintains that there is no risk, at this moment, that EU member states will fulfill the arrest warrants of the Spanish justice.

The Court will issue its final ruling on the merits of this case at a later date, the note reads.

"We are satisfied", commented the former president of Catalonia and his two former councilors, all three MEPs, through the lawyer Gonzalo Boye. According to the interpretation of the three and their defense, the resolution of the court establishes that the orders of international arrests issued against them by the Spanish judge Pablo Llarena are "suspended", pending a resolution of the European justice on the bottom of the matter.

When Puigdemont was arrested in Alghero in late September, Llarena instead claimed that the warrants were valid.
