American pop star Justin Timberlake has revealed he suffers from Lyme disease, describing it as "relentlessly debilitating." The 44-year-old singer, former NSYNC frontman, wrote this in an Instagram post at the end of his year-long "Forget Tomorrow" world tour.

"It was a fun, emotional, rewarding, physically demanding, and at times exhausting experience," Timberlake wrote of the tour, which some fans criticized for its lack of energy. "I've dealt with several health challenges and was diagnosed with Lyme disease. I'm not saying this to seek sympathy, but to shed light on what I was going through behind the scenes. Living with this disease can be extremely debilitating, both mentally and physically . When I received the diagnosis, I was shocked, but at least I understood why I felt so bad on stage."

Lyme disease is an infection caused by a bacterium transmitted by ticks. Symptoms include fatigue, muscle and joint pain, fever, and, in severe cases, neurological and immune damage. It is treated with antibiotics, but the effects can last for years .
