After the test on January 5 and last Tuesday, North Korea would have launched "an as yet unidentified bullet" in the direction of the Sea of Japan. This was reported by the Seoul military, who then updated the situation by speaking of "two bullets".

The third initiative in order of time by Pyongyang follows the US decision to sanction 6 North Koreans linked to ballistic development programs.

On Tuesday, in particular, North Korea said it had successfully launched, under the supervision of leader Kim Jong-un, a hypersonic carrier.

Harsh condemnation of missile launches was also expressed by Italy which defined these activities as "illegal" and capable of undermining "peace and security at regional and international level", being also "a source of grave concern", as written from the Farnesina in a note.
