Peaceful protests are underway in Minneapolis and other US cities following the killing of a protester by an ICE agent in the Minnesota city. The largest crowd is in Minneapolis, where tensions are high. But several demonstrations have also appeared in New York, Boston, Baltimore, Birmingham, and other US cities.

Amid tensions erupted following the killing of a 37-year-old immigrant advocate in Minneapolis, two people were hospitalized after being shot by federal agents in Portland, Oregon, police reported. It's not immediately clear what their condition is or which agency the federal agents involved belong to, CNN reports, but other media reports suggest they are U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents. The victims are a man and a woman.
