Kate Cox, 31 years old and mother of two children, is pregnant: according to the State of Texas she can even die, but she does not have to have an abortion.

The cruel legal battle of the conservative state against the woman, who is now in her twentieth week of pregnancy and has obtained approval from a judge for an abortion due to a high-risk pregnancy, despite the state ban after the sixth week, does not stop.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton challenged the judge's decision to the Supreme Court and threatened to prosecute any doctor or hospital that causes the woman to have an abortion.

Kate Cox, already a mother of two, has learned that her fetus has a chromosomal disorder that involves various health issues, including spinal anomaly, and that continuing the pregnancy puts her life and future fertility at risk. In any case, the baby would not be healthy and could even be stillborn.

The woman has already rushed to the emergency room four times with severe cramps and fluid loss, but doctors have told her their hands are tied under current state laws.
