Pope Francis returns to talk about social media. And in the homily of this morning's mass, he asks to put the Word of God back at the centre . «Otherwise - said Pope Francis - we end up talking more about ourselves than about Him; and many times our thoughts and our problems remain at the center, rather than Christ with his Word. Let us return to the sources to offer the world the living water it cannot find."

"While society and social media accentuate the violence of words - the Pope underlined -, let us embrace the meekness of the Word that saves , which is gentle, which makes no noise, which enters the heart".

The Pope, who advised us to always carry a small Gospel with us, in our bag or "on our mobile phone" , explained that the Word of God is like a compass: "Many times we struggle to leave our certainties, our habits, because we remain entangled in them like fish in a net. But those who are in contact with the Word heal from the bonds of the past, because the living Word reinterprets life, it also heals the wounded memory by grafting the memory of God and his works for us. Scripture grounds us in goodness, it reminds us of who we are: children of God, saved and loved."
