They survived 15 days in the Colombian Amazon rainforest after the plane they were traveling in crashed.

4 children, one of which is 11 months old, were found after a long search , when it was thought that there was no more hope for them. The two pilots and the children's mother died in the plane crash. The news was spread via Twitter by the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro, that it is "a great joy for our country".

The remains of the aircraft, with the three bodies, were found last Monday, and the authorities had started the search. However, the rescue teams were not optimistic: in fact, they had found fruit remains with traces of bites near the plane.

According to a local broadcaster, the three boys aged 13, 9 and 4 set up a shelter in the jungle , looking after the youngest. Now they are in the hands of the men of the Navy and will soon be entrusted to the Colombian Institute of Family Assistance.
