A whopping 7.1 million dollars after Donald Trump's arrest, mostly collected from the sale of gadgets such as mugs, T-shirts and drink holders with the now iconic mugshot.

This was announced by the staff of the former president's electoral campaign, indicted in Atlanta, Georgia, and arrested (for twenty minutes, before paying a $200,000 bail) in Fulton prison on charges of attempting to subvert the outcome of the 2020 presidential election in Georgia.

Overall, over the past three weeks, the campaign has raised nearly $20 million. On Friday alone, a good 4.18 million dollars, the highest figure ever reached in 24 hours.

Meanwhile , Trump 's lawyers are looking for ways to delay the trial . Fulton County Attorney Fanni Wallis has proposed an Oct. 23 date, and two of Trump's 18 co-defendants, former campaign attorney Sidney Powell and attorney Kenneth Chesebro, are also pushing for expedited proceedings.

To get out of the impasse it is likely that the tycoon's defense will try to ask for a separate trial , while the former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, has presented a motion to move his to federal court.
