The meteorite 2023 Bu passed very close to the Earth. Its trajectory was recorded at 1.27 of this night at the height of the lower tip of South America.

The distance, according to reports from the BBC, would have been 3,600 kilometers from the surface of our planet, therefore less than that in which several artificial satellites orbit.

The rocky object - roughly the size of a minibus - had been identified first by an amateur astronomer operating from Crimea and then by official observers and agencies.
