New interview for Donald Trump with Megyn Kelly, the former Fox news anchor who eight years ago put him in crisis in the first debate between Republican candidates and who for that was torpedoed by the network and threatened for years by the tycoon's supporters.

«Joe Biden is not too old. He is too incompetent,” said The Donald, entering the debate on the president's age with a straight leg. “Some were great leaders even at 80, like Churchill, while others falter at 40 and 50,” declared the former president in a comment that seemed to want to neutralize any criticism of his age, 77, only three less than Biden.

Even on the impeachment, Trump did not want to go too far: "Whether he exists or not, he remains a terrible president who is sending the country to hell", he said, however insinuating that it could be revenge by the Republicans against the Democrats. “If they hadn't impeached me, maybe they wouldn't have impeached him.”

Kelly, who in 2015 asked him the famous question about his offensive and violent remarks towards some women, then pressed the former president on his legal troubles. “The idea of prison doesn't affect me at all,” Trump downplayed, using the usual “false indictments” argument. In particular, regarding the classified documents kept in his Mar-a-Lago residence, he defended himself by claiming that he "had done nothing wrong because it was authorized by the Presidential Records Act". In reality, the 1978 law states that presidential papers go directly to the National Archives once the outgoing commander in chief leaves the White House.

Speaking instead at a conservative convention in Washington, the former president said to those present: «I was indicted for you. Democrats have used law enforcement as weapons to target their primary opponent. What the corrupt Biden is doing is election interference at the highest level." And making fun of her mug shot, he concluded: "She's really beautiful."
