France's crackdown on migrants. To stop entry from Italy, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne has announced 150 additional agents at the border who will come into action from next week .

Borne also announced the postponement to the autumn of the immigration "package" desired by Emmanuel Macron: "It will not be presented immediately, today - he acknowledged - there is no majority in Parliament to approve such a law, as I was able to verify yesterday when I met with the leaders of the Republicans".

Borne was called today to unveil the program of " 100 days of peace and action " decreed by Macron in an attempt to turn the page after more than three months of protests for the pension reform.

And among the priority dossiers is the immigration package, which provides for a tightening on expulsions but also for better integration of refugees . Thus, to demonstrate that the Elysee is not idling over this "priority", even without waiting for the new package, Macron's loyalist announced the mobilization "starting next week" of "150 additional agents and gendarmes in the Alps -Marittimes”, in the south-east of the country, in order to “cope with the increased migratory pressure on the Italian border” .

Among the other topics of the president's road map, also the strengthening of public services, starting with school and health. In the absence of an absolute majority, Borne said she was "confident" of being able to find variable majorities, "project by project".
