A six-month-old baby of Italian descent died in Belgium after an alleged fall in a nursery in Kessel-Lo, near Louvain.

The little girl was in intensive care for days in the hospital where she arrived with a skull fracture and a cerebral hemorrhage .

The educator who had her in custody spoke of an accident. But something doesn't add up in his story: a coroner judged the wounds incompatible with reconstruction . And the investigators have decided to open an investigation into assault and battery.

The girl's parents have lived in Belgium for several years. The mother is from Carmiano, in Salento, while the father is from Pisa: «A. he won't wake up again.
