Iraq's Iran-linked Kataib Hezbollah militias have announced they will end military operations against American troops in the region.

A decision taken to avoid "embarrassment" for the Iraqi government, it was explained in a statement, as reported by the international media.

After the news, so far only a "no comment" has been received from the USA and in particular from the Pentagon. “Actions speak louder than words,” spokesman Pat Ryder simply said.

Another US defense spokeswoman, Sabrina Singh, after the recent attack on the US base between Syria and Jordan , stated that the raid "has the imprints of the Hezbollah Brigades", pointing the finger at the militia groups operating in Lebanon, but which are also present in Iraq.

"We know – he added – that Iran finances these groups that are attacking US troops in the Middle East."
