The case of Ilaria Salis , the anti-fascist militant of Sardinian origins who has been in prison in Budapest for 11 months, continues to be discussed. For her father Roberto , who awaits her in Italy, "her situation depends on how much the Italian State will be able to bang its fists on the table given that for now it has just waved a fan to create a bit of wind." The 39-year-old has been in cell since February 11th, accused of assaulting Nazi demonstrators.

The first hearing of the trial will take place on Monday 29 January in Budapest and the parent explains that «I am not yet optimistic because I cannot see how the actors in this antics can come out of this. Orban cannot say "sorry, I made a mistake".

For Salis, Justice Minister Carlo Nordio - in his speech in the Senate - was " disappointing ". After having written to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, he will be in Rome on Tuesday to meet "a high representative of the government and I expect an operational plan, certainly not a chat".
