He spent 95 days lost in the Pacific Ocean aboard his small fishing boat without any equipment .
This is the incredible story, reported by CNN, of Máximo Napa Castro, a 61-year-old Peruvian fisherman who left the port of Marcona, a coastal city in the south of the country, on December 7, but had lost his sense of direction due to bad weather and currents that had pushed him out to sea .
The man was found on March 11 by an Ecuadorian fishing boat off the coast of northern Peru : he was severely dehydrated and in critical condition .
Interviewed by local media, the fisherman tearfully said he had managed to survive by drinking rainwater and eating insects, birds and a turtle.
The man has spent the last 15 days without eating and said he kept thinking about his family to "cling on" to life.
