The latest skirmishes - which occurred in the evening and led to the suspension of the evaluation of the Italian and Spanish candidates by the competent parliamentary committees - are all on the clause wanted by the EPP to force Ribera to resign in the event of formal accusations from the Iberian justice system regarding the management of the floods in his homeland. A blitz that led the socialists to urgently suspend the green light to Fitto .

In any case, the Greens, who in July were decisive in delivering Europe back into the hands of the Germans, are against the alliance.
