In the aftermath of the elections - for the Duma and other local and regional levels - United Russia defeats its opponents and takes home 125 seats on the federal, proportional list, and 199 in the single-member constituencies. In total 324.
But, even if Vladimir Putin, with yet another success, sings victory, the Communist Party rises up. “It's all false”, is the accusation of Alexei Navalny. "We do not recognize the vote in the capital," says the party.
The Russian PC, at the federal level, fared better than in 2016, winning 15 more seats, rising to 57. The leader Gennady Zyuganov, furious, invites all supporters of the party "to defend the election results as the Podolsk cadets defended Moscow "in World War II. For now, therefore, he launches the idea of gatherings in the square, asking for authorizations for Saturday 25 and Sunday 3 October. Immediately deny. "There is Covid", is the response of the Moscow security department (in a country where there are no restrictions). Will he go to the clash with the Kremlin, opting for unauthorized demonstrations as Navalny did in his time?
But to hold the bench there is another reality, the affirmation of the newly created acronym "New People", which between plank and boarding schools wins (according to the projections) 13 seats. Recently formed party, it is aimed at the center-right electorate, headed by the entrepreneur Alexei Nechaev, known as the founder of the cosmetics company Faberlic, in tandem with the former mayor of Yakutsk, Sardana Avksentieva, very popular in the boundless east of Country.
