«My family and I are not looking for revenge or for the guilty, we are looking for justice»: speaking to Tg1 is Giuseppe Noschese, doctor and father of Michele Noschese, the 35-year-old DJ who died last Friday in Ibiza , according to the Spanish police due to cardiac arrest after feeling ill , according to his friends due to the beatings he suffered.

"The police arrived, I was told," continues Giuseppe Noschese, "and made everyone leave. She was left alone with my son, who was tied hand and foot ." "It seems he was beaten particularly severely ," adds the DJ's father.

Noschese's death occurred at dawn on July 19th and was reported to his father "over the phone by some of my son's friends. I rushed over and arrived on the evening of the 19th," Giuseppe Noschese said. "They told me," he added, "that they were having a get-together with friends, playing music, having a drink, and eating. There was some uproar, and the police were called. They told me that the officers made everyone leave and were left alone with my son. From what they told me, he was tied hand and foot, held down, and apparently beaten particularly severely, to the point that he didn't even need to be transferred to the hospital, but rather taken straight to the morgue ."

"Currently," Noschese continues, "the investigation is ongoing. The Italian Foreign Ministry, with its consular representation in Barcelona, has been very supportive of us on this occasion, greatly facilitating all the bureaucratic procedures. Our consul general in Barcelona is expected to arrive here in Ibiza this afternoon to closely monitor the matter. The autopsy was performed yesterday morning, I must say rather hastily. Our expert arrived this morning and will likely request additional diagnostic information to what the autopsy revealed yesterday. We are hopeful for a result that will bring justice to my son; neither I nor my family are seeking revenge or a guilty party; we simply want to understand how the event unfolded and why my son, who was in excellent health, died so tragically. We are asking for a plausible explanation. After that, we will be a little more at peace than we currently are."
