The civil war is back in Ethiopia, and nothing is spared.

The Ethiopian air forces in the attack on Macallè , the capital of the rebel region of Tigray, also hit an asylum , killing and injuring numerous children, reports UNICEF denying the Ethiopian government which had claimed to have only hit "military targets".

The conflict, which broke out in November two years ago in the Tigrè region, registers a new flare-up after five months of truce .

The Ethiopian air forces of Prime Minister - and paradoxically Nobel Peace Prize 2019 - Abiy Ahmed bombed the capital of the rebel ethnic group.

The raid comes two days after the resumption of fighting between government forces and the TPLF on the southeastern border of the rebel region of northern Ethiopia. Since it broke out in November 2020, the war has claimed several thousand lives and more than two million displaced.

In addition, hundreds of thousands of Ethiopians have plunged into conditions close to starvation.
