Mattia Ahmet Minguzzi, the 14-year-old son of Italian chef Andrea Minguzzi and Turkish cellist Akincilar, has been brain dead since yesterday.
The young man had been admitted to intensive care on January 24 after being attacked in a street market.
According to local media, the boy had been stabbed five times, as documented in a video, by another teenager while he was in Kadikoy, a neighborhood on the Anatolian side of the city on the Bosphorus .
Having fallen to the ground, he was kicked by another 16-year-old.
The two attackers were arrested.
