Moments of fear for six Italian tourists in Kenya.

During an excursion on the high seas, the boat they were traveling on, with over 40 people on board, capsized.

The incident occurred off one of Kenya's best-known beaches, the tourist resort of Watamu.

For some passengers , the rescue would have been in vain, while others, including the Italians, were saved by another passing boat and by the guards of the "Kenya Wildlife Service".

Some of them, it is reported, then received treatment in the health facilities of Watamu and Malindi and are not in serious condition.

"They were in shock and only suffered minor bruises," said the general manager of the resort where the group is staying, Guido Bertoni.

«From the hotel we saw the capsize of the boat which was hit by a tidal wave; Nothing like this had ever happened in Watamu», added Bertoni.
