A "Nuremberg-style" tribunal for Russian leaders suspected of "war crimes" in Ukraine .

Invoking the establishment of a trial before an international court that resembles that of the Nazi leaders at the end of the Second World War is a draft resolution that is circulating at the United Nations in New York .

The news is reported by the British newspaper Guardian. From what is filtered, the proposal would currently find the United States against it, but there are "signs" according to which American opposition could weaken in the face of pressure from Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky .

Beth Van Schaack, US ambassador for criminal justice, recently declared that it is something "that President Zelensky is very keen on".

"However, we need to see - added Schaack - whether the proposal will receive the votes of the UN general assembly".
