A violent cockpit altercation between the Russian-born pilot and the Ukrainian co-pilot led to the emergency that affected a FlyDubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The altercation may have been sparked by a desire to prevent the plane from crashing.
According to the reconstruction, the altercation between the two, which began after takeoff, quickly escalated into a physical fight, with one of the two fighters even losing consciousness. An investigation is underway to reconstruct the cause of the fight: senior Israeli aviation officials reported, based on an initial assessment, that one of the pilots attempted to cause a crash, but the other managed to foil the attempt with the help of some Israeli passengers.
