Italy beat Israel 3-0 with goals from Retegui in the 47th minute of the first half from a penalty and 29th minute of the second half and Mancini in the 48th minute of the second half, and ensured at least a place in the World Cup qualifying play-offs.

The Azzurri are in fact second with 15 points, 6 more than Israel, who have only one match left to play.

Norway remains first on 18 points, with a game in hand compared to the Azzurri but a significantly better goal difference than Italy.
