The Cagliari Beach Soccer team is among the top eight at the Women's Euro Winners Cup, the international tournament currently underway in Nazaré, Portugal. Today, the Rossoblù defeated Belgian side Brussels 9-3 in their round of 16 match, securing a spot in the quarterfinals.

Cagliari Beach Soccer came from behind to win, having fallen behind 2-0 (goals from Gonella and Agustina) and then 3-1 (Gonella scoring again, after Privitera had pulled one back) in the first half. From the start of the second half, however, the Rossoblu dominated, with Brussels having no chance : Privitera scored the 2-3, Varvara equalized, Illiano took the lead, and then Luana Potiguar broke the deadlock, scoring four goals between the end of the second half and the start of the third. Varvara closed the game with a brace.

Today's qualification means Cagliari Beach Soccer will play until Sunday, when the finals (first to eighth place) will take place. Tomorrow at 10:30 Italian time (9:30 local time) the quarterfinals against Barcelona .
