At the age of 100, Assunta Almirante, wife of Giorgio, founder of the Italian Social Movement, died.

Known as "donna Assunta", she was considered the historical memory of the Italian right. Born in Catanzaro on July 14, 1921, her real name was Raffaela Stramandinoli .
