Winter games: strong wind, skip the descent men
The blues Paris, Innerhofer and Marsaglia were ready at the gates
Today was supposed to be the day of the men's downhill, one of the most anticipated races in the alpine skiing program, but the weather ruined the party at the Beijing Winter Games and the organizers decided to postpone everything to another date.
Three attempts were made to postpone the start, then for safety reasons and to ensure the regularity of the test - given the persistence of bad weather at the National Alpine Ski Center in Yanqing - the definitive postponement.
At the gate the Azzurri were ready but Dominik Paris, Christof Innerhofer and Matteo Marsaglia will still have to be patient. Tomorrow women will try with the giant: spotlight on Federica Brignone. Among the competitions held in the figure skating team event, Italy remains out of the free program that assigned medals: ahead of Russia, USA, Japan, Canada and China, with the Azzurri seventh.
