The Port Authority of Cagliari in an official communication rejected the installation of the wind turbines from 300 meters high in the heart of the Golfo degli Angeli .

The dispatch is dated 13 September 2022 and is addressed to the municipal offices of Pula, Villa San Pietro, Domus de Maria, Teulada, Carloforte, Sant'Antioco, Calasetta and Teulada.

This is the "negative" conclusion of the Service Conferences first called and then revoked to grant or not the installation in the Gulf of Cagliari, up to Pula and Domus de Maria : the two Falck Renewables projects, Nora Ventu 1, are in the sights. and 2, a total of 91 blades for 1,400 megawatts, and those of Toro 1 and 2, 48 blades for 576 megawatts to be built between the islands of San Pietro and Sant'Antioco, proposed by Seawind Italia .

In reality, the two companies are already working to obtain the necessary maritime state-owned concessions .

Concetta Spada , mayor of Domus de Maria: "We did not win, the companies that want to position these wind towers as high as buildings in front of our coasts will not give up easily. Our fear is that in the future the municipalities will be made less and less involved in these. choices: we are not against it regardless, but we believe that these installations are too close to our coasts ".

For Marina Madeddu , mayor of Villa San Pietro, the glass is half full: "With the refusal of the requests of the 'Nora Ventu srl' by the Port Authority we have gained time, but we will have to wait for the outcome of the environmental impact assessment presented by these society to understand what will happen. There remain many doubts about these projects, presented in a hasty and not very exhaustive way: the fear is that the contingent need of our country will lead the ministry to make choices without due verifications ".
