The actor breaks the silence after the slap in the world live: "He still doesn't talk to me, but I did something inexcusable"
“I called him to apologize. But he doesn't speak to me. I asked him to see us but was told he is not ready to talk about what happened yet . When it is ready I hope it will ”.
It is a passage from the video message posted by Will Smith on his social channels, to break the silence after what happened during the last Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles, when he slapped Chris Rock , presenter of the evening, in the world live , after a joke about his wife Jada 's alopecia.
"I spent months thinking about what I did," explained Smith. " I am sorry and no part of me thinks it was right. In fact it was unacceptable ," he continued, apologizing not only to Chris. Rock, but also to his mother to his whole family.
A violent reaction, that of last February, which cost the American actor dear, expelled from the Academy and also from the contracts he had in place for new films.
Now comes the social mea culpa. Will it be enough to put things back in order for good?
