“When poetry and painting embrace each other”, the meeting in La Maddalena
The appointment was the occasion to present the homonymous book by Maddalena Migliore
"When poetry and painting embrace each other" is the title of the book , published by Paolo Sorba, presented in the Municipal Library of La Maddalena by Isabella Conte . These are poems , the author of which is Maddalena Migliore , commented by the poet Gennaro Avellino and "illustrated" by the painter Yvonne Gandini. A mix as singular as appreciable.
The verses of the poet Maddalena Migliore, said Isabella Conte during the presentation, "embrace themes of a universal nature such as solidarity, friendship, love, nature, faith"; and "transmit the deep spirituality of the author".
A publication, therefore, for three voices, two poets and a painter «who have pooled their creative energies». And so Gennaro Avellino next to the verses of Migliore "has embroidered comments which in turn are lyrical ". Added to this is the artistic contribution of Yvonne Gandini ; «being helped by a pictorial expression that tells it in a figurative way is certainly a great contribution», Conte always affirmed.
The poems were read during the book presentation by the author herself and by Lino Sorba . The comments by Gennaro Avellino, by the same author and by Lucia Spanu.
Maddalena Migliore, born in Ozieri, has lived in La Maddalena for several years. A retired teacher, she is already the author of two collections of poems: "Between the sky and the sea" and "Beyond the earth".
