The beaches of Castiadas, in southern Sardinia, increasingly sought after for the fateful yes. In 2020 there were eight weddings by the sea between Cala Pira, Monte Turno, Santa Giusta and Cala Sinzias, last year 19 and in 2022, for now, 22.

The idea was started by two Sardinian wedding entrepreneurs, Alessia Ghisoni and Cinzia Murgia, who in 2019 with the trust of the mayor Eugenio Murgioni started a process of enhancing the territory by aiming at the growth of the sector. The latest wedding, a few steps from Peppino's rock , was that of Matteo Ledri , the sailor engineer of the Luna Rossa team based at Molo Ichnusa in Cagliari who recently took part in the last edition of the America's Cup, the third of his career.

Ledri married Giulia Carbonari, 35, a management engineer from Pesaro who works on the island in a business consulting company.

"Why are we getting married in Sardinia? Because it is now our home - explains Ledri - we didn't know much about it as a vacation spot, then we moved here for work reasons and slowly it became our home. We are starting to know it in detail and now we love it very much. We liked the idea of getting married on the beach because we are very attached to the sea and when we had the opportunity to choose Castiadas we jumped at it ".

A choice "married" also by the Municipality. "Castiadas is confirmed as one of the favorite international destinations for wedding tourism - underlines the mayor Eugenio Murgioni - a result that rewards a splendid territory between sea and mountains and agricultural estates with an ancient charm, but also the work and commitment of the administration" .
