On Tuesday, at 8:30 pm, the Teatro Astra in Sassari will host a tribute concert to Nick Drake entitled “ Voices from a Cloud ”. The concert intends to offer the public some of the most significant songs by the English musician and poet who died in 1974 at just 26 years old, but who was able to leave a profound mark.

The tribute to the English singer-songwriter and guitarist will be paid by musicians Giovanni Vargiu and Salvatore Delogu with the conduction of Francesca Arca and Antonello Lullia .

Vargiu was born musically in the early 90s with active involvement in rock bands in the Sassari scene of those years. His concert and compositional activity developed both in acoustic and electric key. This last aspect resulted in the formation of a group, still active, called ElettroMagaña : a power trio with rough and direct sounds. As a soloist he published two EPs as Vargas

Salvatore Delogu is a multi-instrumentalist from Sassari with a very broad musical culture. His interests and collaborations range from progressive and experimental music to traditional music from southern Italy, passing through rock and Italian singer-songwriters.

The initiative is part of the third edition of “Plays!”, a multidisciplinary festival organized by the company La botte e il circolare and the Bertas .
