A return to TV and to life for Victoria Cabello, who reappears on the small screen with her participation in Beijing Express.
We hadn't seen her on TV since 2017. a very long period away from the scene due to an illness that has profoundly marked her in recent years.
Today, at 46, he can leave it all behind and talk about the terrible years he lived through. The presenter in fact contracted Lyme disease during a trip abroad, an infectious disease transmitted by tick bites that can manifest itself in a more or less serious way.
For her it was very serious: “I thought about dying and I faced a long rehabilitation process. I had memory problems, I couldn't remember many words and I was semi paralyzed, ”she said recently in an interview. "That being on my knees for so long has affected my life a lot, I was afraid of having to say goodbye to my everyday life forever".
Lyme disease initially manifests itself with skin rashes, which then turn out to be the most trivial of problems to be solved, because the disease can progress and become chronic, causing very serious damage to the nervous system, heart and joints.
It is also difficult to recover emotionally: “I did it thanks to my analyst and also to hypnosis, which helped me a lot to regain confidence in myself. Now Beijing Express has made me rediscover the desire to get involved, I needed it ".
In short, a new starting point, a second life. Or, to put it in Cabello, “shock therapy”.
