Always at the top of the charts, loved from generation to generation, Vasco Rossi will turn 70 tomorrow. A special occasion linked to a series of anniversaries that combine a handful of days.

On 29 January, for example, he celebrated the 40th anniversary of his first appearance on the stage of the Sanremo Festival with “Vado al massimo”, a song that reached the last places but which had a great success. And this year at the Ariston Rkomi, one of the most interesting protagonists of the new music scene, on the evening of the covers he proposed a medley made up of three old classics of Blasco.

And he, the Komandante, has been writing songs for years inspired by his emotions, but what few people know is that behind the artist there is actually a baggage made up of sophisticated readings and great sensitivity. For example, when he sang "Jenny is crazy" it was 1977, a time when talking about depression was almost taboo, because it was not considered a disease and those who suffered from it were not considered sick but, in fact, crazy.

That world that Vasco continues to represent with his verses and that today's young people still consider as one of the rare examples.
