The Municipality of Usini opens its doors to culture and its beauty for a weekend of discovery. On Saturday, May 9th and Sunday, May 10th, the town hosts the "Momumenti Aperti" (Open Monuments) event, a heritage site open to visitors thanks to the children of the Diaz Comprehensive Institute—preschool, elementary, and middle school—who will act as guides for visitors.
The cultural tours will take visitors to the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, Casa Derosas, Su Trogliu, the S'Elighe Entosu necropolis, the monumental cemetery on Via Sos Paris, and the Literary Garden. A total of six monuments can be visited free of charge in the morning from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and in the afternoon from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The program, organized by the municipal administration, includes a variety of side events for adults and children over the two days at the Lavatoio di Usini park, including entertainment, games, workshops, a literary reading with Claudia Crabuzza, and Sardinian games. The "Draw a Monument" competition for first- and second-year secondary school students is also planned.
