Even the battleship Lucchese bows to the only Italian (and perhaps European) team that remains with full points. Torres wins 2-0 and after seven rounds remains the solitary leader. Truly a display of great personality from the Sassari team who suffered, risked conceding a goal, but instead resisted and scored a goal in each half with Fischnaller and Ruocco.

Lucchese started off like a great team and in the 3rd minute Russo exploded with a shot that hit the crossbar squarely. The guests are quick and venomous and collect corner kicks (9) and chances: in the 9th minute Zaccagno deflects Cangianiello's shot from inside the area, caught in the area alone.

Torres strikes in the 21st minute Scotto offers the ball on the left to Liviero who enters the area and puts it back in the middle from the back: from the first corner Fischnaller pounces and scores despite the goalkeeper Chiorra's foot blocking. The Sassari team could have doubled their lead in the 39th minute on a two-on-one counterattack but Scotto gives the ball too slowly to Mastinu. In injury time, Russo again receives from the left and finishes strongly, but on the outside of the net.

In the second half, Lucchese tried to attack en masse: Russo attempted a shot twice but missed the target, while in the 67th minute Zaccagno did well to lift Gugher's shot over the crossbar. Coach Greco brings in fresh forces and Torres acts on the counterattack. In the 77th minute, Zecca takes off and exchanges with Scotto on the left and when he enters the area he shoots, pushes the goalkeeper away, then the new substitute Ruocco arrives and blocks it to make it 2-0.
