Not only the "big ones", those who in theory (very much in theory) should set a good example. Even boys who are not even adults every weekend on the football fields of the Island curse, behave rudely and over the top, argue, use their hands. Sometimes even the girls suffer the consequences. And the players are regularly punished by the Sports Judge.

A negative example is what happened on October 27 (based on the referee's report and the consequent measures of those responsible for judging) in the Under 17 (Regional Students) match between Porto Torres and Civitas Tempio Asd , a match that cost the guests a defeat by default (3-0) , a fine for the same club, the suspension of a manager until February and the disqualification of three of its players for (respectively) six, five and four games. And we're talking about kids.

This is the official reconstruction: in the 24th minute of the second half, with the score at 3-2 for Porto Torres, the referee (a girl) decides to send off (for "insulting conduct" towards her) a Civitas player, the fourth of the team to be sent off the pitch. An initiative that pushes "several players" of the club with seven players left on the pitch to surround her, getting to within "a few centimetres of her", to insult her with "very serious, trivial and offensive phrases" and to threaten her. A situation that, writes the sports judge, creates in her "an emotional state of strong disturbance and concrete fear for her safety". So the match is suspended and the referee leaves the field albeit "with great difficulty", because the threats do not stop and the assistant referee of Civitas Tempio in turn "verbally attacks" her with "trivial and seriously offensive" phrases first on the pitch and then "all the way to the changing rooms". The girl enters the changing rooms "only thanks to the intervention of the official accompanying manager of the home team" but even there, even in the room, she hears "kicks and punches hitting the door of the room and new seriously threatening and insulting phrases". A situation that ends only after the arrival of the referee observer. The match obviously does not resume due to the "incurable situation and the psychophysical condition" of the referee.

Consequence: Civitas Tempio loses the match 3-0 by default; the club will pay a fine of 300 euros for objective liability (also due to a "any lack of assistance to the referee by its managers and technicians"); a club manager is banned until February 26 "for serious insulting and threatening conduct after the suspension of the match", behavior even more serious because it occurred "in a youth sector match". Then the disqualifications: six days for a player who contested the match director with insults and abuse and, once sent off, worsened his position; five for a teammate who, also sent off the field, behaved in a similar way; four for a third equally offensive player.

Sports should be fun, especially at that age. Something doesn't add up.
