A flight in a clear, cloudless sky, then an unexpected event and an attempted emergency landing. This is the initial, summary reconstruction of the plane crash in San Sperate, when an ultralight aircraft crashed into the town's countryside, very close to the Pixinortu park as the crow flies. On board the plane was Fernando Atzori, a 61-year-old construction worker and resident of San Sperate. The injured man was taken to the hospital and is not believed to be in life-threatening condition, but meanwhile, friends, fellow villagers, and aviation enthusiasts are rallying around his family, who are still in shock. An investigation has been opened into the incident.
