All is ready at the Lazzaretto in Cagliari for three days of music, poetry, and song that express the island's most authentic soul . From tomorrow, Friday, August 29th, until Sunday, August 31st , the evocative space of Borgo Sant'Elia (Via dei Navigatori 1) will host the Tradition and Modernity Festival 2025 , part of the "Cagliari Live 2025" program, created with the contribution of the Municipality of Cagliari. The actor Simeone Latini will host the event, introducing the guests and leading the audience through three evenings dedicated to the intangible beauty of Sardinia. It begins tomorrow, Friday, August 29th, at 8 pm, with an evening entirely dedicated to singing and the voice: the protagonists are Tenore San Gavino di Oniferi, the Janas, and the Balentia.

Tenore di Oniferi are one of the most important tenor singing groups on the regional and national scene. They will present one of the most distinctive and distinctive forms of Sardinian singing. This will be followed by a performance by the group Janas, who for over 30 years have successfully performed pop and pop music, both within and outside Sardinia, rooted in both traditional Sardinian sounds and themes. Finally, the rap collective Balentia will perform, featuring Alessio Mura, "Su Maistu" and "Mraxai," who will perform freestyle performances in the Sardinian language. The originality of this project lies in the integration of traditional Sardinian music with external instruments and languages, offering audiences an artistic experience that enhances identity and innovation in the urban context of Cagliari, highlighting the points of contact between popular culture and contemporary languages.

The event is organized by the Amici della Musica of Cagliari in collaboration with Su Bentu Estu (documentation and improvised poetry), Campos (promotion and dissemination), La Pro Loco Cagliari (promotion and engagement with enthusiasts), and FremArte (exhibition space for Sardinian sculptures and crafts). The choice of the Lazzaretto was strongly encouraged with the aim of contributing to the revitalization of the Sant'Elia neighborhood and promoting cultural inclusion, aggregation, and the reappropriation of peripheral spaces by the entire community.
