Sardinia falls from the podium in the ranking of the regions of Southern Italy most visited by tourists.

The "ranking" was drawn up by Svimez (the Association for the Development of Industry in Southern Italy), in a report presented at the meeting of the Confcommercio of Naples.

According to the study, in 2022 Southern Italy recorded 5 million arrivals and 17.7 million tourist presences divided between Italians (52%) and foreigners (48%).

In detail, the report, presented by Luca Bianchi, director of Svimez, and Gaetano Vecchione of the Federico II University, highlighted, Campania is the first region in the South with 22% of arrivals, ahead of Puglia at 20%, Sicily with 19%, while Sardinia stops at 18%.
