Training and strengthening of skills still at the center of the actions of the Regional Council which, on the proposal of the Labor Councilor, Alessandra Zedda, approved the resolution for the provision of resources to Sardinian companies for organization and management, also through academies companies, in collaboration with accredited training agencies or higher technical institutes, of experimental training courses "aimed at promoting the strengthening and continuous updating of workers' skills (in addition to the acquisition of professional skills by unemployed young people and women, provided who participate in the courses in a measure not exceeding 1/3 of the total number of participants) ”, explains the Region in a note.

One and a half million euros are available for companies operating in the tourism, food and wine, transport and technological innovation sectors.

The provision has two objectives: “To guarantee continuous training for the employed and to open the doors of companies to the unemployed”.

"We strongly believe in this tool - underlines the commissioner Zedda -. Through the company academies we promote the transfer of knowledge between workers and the generational transition in companies with adequate tools to strengthen the skills of the personnel involved, to increase company competitiveness, enhance the skills acquired by companies and to encourage the transfer of innovation processes to all components of the production chains ".

As regards the individual sectors, 600 thousand euros are allocated for tourist accommodation and food and wine; 240 thousand for transport and mobility; 600 thousand euros for technological innovation in the most innovative areas of the energy sector such as energy efficiency and renewable energy.

Specific bonuses for the application dossiers will also go to “medium and large companies that have set up specific company academies within them for the systematic provision of continuous training services in working contexts; networks of small and medium-sized enterprises, which reach an overall consistency no less than that of a medium-sized enterprise operating in close collaboration with bilateral sector bodies ".
