Livorno will be without striker Daniele Sorrentino, who will likely miss two more games. During the Coppa Italia match against Spezia, Sorrentino suffered, as Torres wrote in the press release, "a sprain of the lateral compartment of his left knee with ligament involvement, without any signs of injury."
The club doesn't provide a recovery time, but specifies that "the Rossoblu striker, following the appropriate checks, has already begun his rehabilitation program to return to coach Alfonso Greco's disposal as soon as possible." Given the likely grade 1 injury, two to three weeks should suffice.
Scotto will therefore be the starter in Monday's late match in Livorno and also in the next match, as he did in the friendlies when Sorrentino was struggling with physical problems.
