Sunday is the day that can change the podium: the vice-leader Torres hosts Virtus Entella, third in the standings, in a “Vanni Sanna” that is hoped to be sold out or at least packed. Arezzo, fifth in the standings, hosts the leader Pescara.

Coach Alfonso Greco observes: «Ours is an important match, against a very solid opponent, especially in the non-possession phase as demonstrated by the second best defense in the championship. However, it is not a decisive match for promotion to Serie B, the championship is still very long».

The Sassari team must do without the suspended Giuseppe Mastinu who, as Greco also underlines, «is having a great championship, it is a significant absence, we must try to exploit the characteristics of the other players».

Also absent was centre-forward Nanni, who was busy with the San Marino national team where he scored the equalising goal from the penalty spot against Gibraltar and will face Liechtenstein on Monday.
