Torres has chosen the new coach: Stefano Sottili

The third name is the right one. After the nuanced negotiations with Marco Marchionni and Mario Petrone, Torres found an agreement with Stefano Sottili, 53 years old, a discreet past as a footballer with some presence in Serie A with Atalanta and in Serie B with Bologna.
He knows Serie C very well having frequented it both as a player (Triestina, Spezia and Martina between stages) and as a coach: he brought Capri from C2 to C1 (2011) and did the same with Unione Venezia (2013). Less luck in Serie B with Varese, while last year he was at Juve Stabia until the end of February when he was sacked with the team in 12th place in Serie C.
In addition to experience, the fact of having coached in important squares (including Viterbese, Pistoiese and Arezzo) convinced the rossoblù management to choose him as a replacement for Alfonso Greco.
In the next few days the new coach will arrive in Sassari to sign the contract and the start of his new adventure on the green rectangle which will see him make his debut on the San Donato Tavarnelle field on 8 January.
